Toffee Bark

I hope you all had a great weekend! I did accomplish a little bit of shopping, and we went to a  Christmas party last night , so it is really beginning to feel like the Holiday Season.

I promised myself to make cookies every weekend and this weekend is my easy and most delish Toffee bark. Made with simple saltine crackers, butter, brown sugar, and chocolate.. you can't go wrong! I dress up the top with heath bar bits.. or sometimes crushed candy canes!

Place them in little baggies, with a ribbon and give as gifts, if you don't eat the whole pan first!

Enjoy!

1 cup butter ( real butter!)
1 cup Brown Sugar ( dark or Light)
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup milk chocolate chips ( I chopped up hershey kisses-- it worked :)

Heat your oven to 400...  Line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper or foil. Line crackers in rows of five to fill up your pan. In a small sauce pan melt your butter, and add sugar. Stir and boil for 3 minutes. Immediately pour over crackers. Bake in oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
Pour chocolate chips on the top and spread out over the top of cracker and sugar mixture.
Sprinkle with  heath bits if you wish. Set aside and cool completely. Once cooled, break apart into pieces.
