So, it's Dylan's second week of preschool and for his special " your such a big boy at preschool snack" I made him stop light sugar cookie pops. These are so so cute.. and educational too.. he he. At least for Dylan they are because every time we are at a red light he says "go mommy!!"
These are the cutest for when you have to bring in a snack at school:) They make a lot and used the bag of Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix. Thanks Betty! Give these a try.. your kids will think you're so cool for making stop lights!
Stop Light Sugar Cookie Pops
adapted from Betty Crocker
1 package of Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
1/3 cup softened butter
1 egg
1 T. flour
30 kraft sticks ( wooden sticks with round ends)
30 each red, yellow and green m & m's or other round colored candies
heat the oven to 375. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, egg, and flour until soft dough forms
on a floured surface roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick--insert 1 inch of wooden stick into a 1 inch side of each cookie.
On ungreased cookie sheets, place 2 inches apart.
Bake 7 to 9 min . IMMEDIATELY press candies into each cookie cool 2 min and remove from cookie sheets. cool on rack about 30 min

tip * use a pizza cutter to cut your dough!
